The public-information gap

The trade happens first.
The disclosure comes later.

Each line below measures calendar days between the reported transaction and filing dates. A delay is not evidence of misconduct. It is the window during which the public did not have the filing.

01

Method and limits

Receipts before rhetoric.

01

Primary source

Records link directly to Periodic Transaction Reports published by the Office of the Clerk of the U.S. House of Representatives.

02

Ranges stay ranges

Disclosures report value bands. We show the official lower and upper bounds and never invent an exact transaction value.

03

Owner stays attached

Self, spouse, dependent, and joint ownership are materially different. We preserve the owner code instead of assigning every household trade to the member.

04

No guilt by chart

A filing proves a transaction was disclosed. It does not by itself prove insider knowledge, illegality, motive, profit, or who selected the trade.

Current scope

Seven manually verified records from House filing IDs 20033725 and 20034836. Covered transactions over $1,000 are generally due by the earlier of 30 days after notice or 45 days after the transaction; online publication can occur later. Broader coverage will not be labeled complete until ingestion, amendment handling, document parsing, OCR fallback, deduplication, and human exception review are tested.
